About the Program
A five-day experience that changes the trajectory.
The Girls Empowerment Camp is a free summer program for girls ages 9–12 — designed so that cost is never the reason a girl misses her chance. We serve Black and Brown girls in Baltimore who are stepping into adolescence in a world that too often asks too much of them, too soon.
Our focus is resilience.
Not the “just endure it” kind.
The bounce-back kind.
The kind that grows.
Adolescence is a turning point
It’s when identity begins to solidify, when self-worth can either deepen or erode — and when the world often starts placing impossible expectations on girls who are still just learning who they are. Many of the girls we serve have already navigated adultification, negative stereotypes, and disproportionate school discipline — messages that quietly chip away at confidence long before they’ve had the chance to build it.
Our camp is designed to interrupt that trajectory.
